Hey y'all, was doing a little web surfing and stumbled upon a 'preview' of the guys new disc. While I'm not personally thrilled with how the reviewer described the tracks on the album , I thought I should post the link anyways, as it also has links so you can listen to clips of four of the tracks: Filled With Your Glory, Tumbling After, Revolution, and Cry In My Heart.
Also wanted to post an older link that was written by Karen Bliss [the same woman who listed them in Access magazine's 10 Canadian Artists to watch this year]. The article talks about the new album, as well as how they became Sparrow artists. I really like this article because she portrays the band exactly how they are, and because Tim is so frank about how every other label they talked with tended to, in his words, 'blow sunshine', which, in my opinion, is the best quote I've heard in a long time.
That is an awesome quote (the sunshine one)! Thanks for sharing the articles Mac. Good stuff; Tim is so honest! I read jesusfreakhideout's review of "In the Name of Love" a few months ago and they basically said the same thing about Starfield there, that they were unimpressive. (link: http://www.jesusfreakhideout.com/cdreviews/InTheNameOfLove.asp)
So I'm not surprised about their early review of the new album.
i can't wait till there new CD comes out! it's gonna be SO good! and it's been a while!

Less than a month away till the new album comes out! I love their new songs!
Is it just me or is anybody else getting a low quality of the audio samples provided on jesusfreakhideout's page? At first I thought I heard distortions in Tim's voice and then I realized that it was probably the files themselves. I don't think their voices could have changed that much
Yeah, the quality was really bad. I even thought I heard him sing a different word than he really was. But I guess its just to give you a sample and not so you share the songs all around before the CD comes out. Kinda sucks, though...
YAY! I can't wait for the new album. It is going to be so awesome! Who all is going to pick it up on May 18th. I'm so going to get it before school that day... and then'll I'll listen to it all day. Revolution was so awesome to hear in concert. Their concerts are going to keep getting great. God is going to work through them so much in the next while, we need to keep praying for the guys, that God will give them wisdom and guidance during the coming time.
as i listed to the sound samples, i noticed tim in general.. and jon in the background.. I was waiting for one of jon's songs.. and then also heard tim in the background a lot.. hmm... reminds me of the time when i loved downhere and both marc and jasons voice.. and yet marc is the only one singing lead on their new album

I totally agree with that; it was a little weird to listen to the new versions of these songs when I'm so used to the Tumbling After versions. I do like that the new versions of the songs now sound more like what you hear at the concerts.

That's a really good question...I was asking myself the same thing when I heard the clip.
Ah well, all I know is that this album is going to be amazing, I can hardly wait 'till May 18th

Thanks Mac! You rock the longer clips definitely give a better picture of the songs. I wonder which song will be the first single in Canada. Is "Filled With Your Glory" going to be first only in the States?
