Hey everyone! I met this amazing guy at YC Fusion this weekend. He has such a huge heart for God, and for everything else, especially his little brother and sister, which really is a turn on for me knowing that he likes kids. He asked me for my number the last day of YC, and, of course, I gave it to him. I just would like prayer that I don't get into things too fast and that Andrew and I can get to know each other really well before we date. And I also would like prayer that things will work out that way (that we end up dating). He's the one of the nicest guys I've ever met, so it would be so awesome if something happened! Thanks for your prayers! They're greatly appreciated! Take care and God Bless y'all!
Well it sounds like you already really like him etc.. so it's hard to honestly 'get to know them' as a person unbiasedly. Example.. when asking God for advice your heart meter should be at 0.. sounds like it's already at +10 (on wanting to go out with him)... so even if God were to say no... it would end up hurting.. or else hurting more if you go alone with it. If you're at 0 with God.. meaning whatever He says goes and you're at peace with it and His way, then it won't matter. If they guy however was totally not your type etc... which means you'd be at like a -5 or something.. not wanting to do it anyways. Two good books are I Kissed Dating Goodbye and Boy Meets Girl. I just want to protect my heart as much as possible. Because in faith and in Gods eyes, I am married right now, and do have a husband. Just like this Andrew guy has a wife somewhere as well. A good set of rules to play by is treat him like a brother (he is in Christ).. and also treat him like he is someone else's husband.. and hopefully he'll treat you like someone else's wife. Get to know him in social circles with your friends and his. Because we are after all already bought by Jesus.. we are His and not to be sold to anyone else (like fast food dating).. but to be given away to our husbands.
