Tampa.... man oh man, I'm upset about this. The cup shouldn't go to Florida... come on its too sunny down there, hockey is a winter sport... the cup needs coldness and snow! But anyways enough mopping about it, congrats Tampa, but I warn you now, Canada, especially Calgary has a monkey on their back.

Yeah, everyone stood on their feet in the last few minutes at the Saddledome but the clock kept ticking away

Oh well, it was a good game and this was an excellent year!  Still cheering my Flames on no matter what!

It was an odd year since I have only two aunts on my dad's side.. one who lives in Calgary, one who lives in Tampa. I've been to Calgary about 3 times, but have been going to Tampa each year since I was in grade 5.... one of the nice things is that Tampa's goalie is 'Habby'.. aka Khabibulin (who our (Jets) last goalie). So it's nice to see that he won it... wished it were here though! (Winnipeg)

Apparently there's more Canadian players on Tampa's team than on Calgary's! i think that's funny!

and what happened????

its kinda wierd cause it was like they were rubbing it in our face... the fact that calgary already won the cup on saturday night but the refs were too blind to notice..

GRRRRRRR.... im a little ticked about the fact that my flames were used.. they showed the instant replay like 28340234803 times and i saw it everyone of them... and the puck went in the net.. if it was just a normal game whatever... but this is canadas cup... cmmon!!!

There's always next year... unless they go on strike.  It's interesting to note that a lot of Calgarians are still flying their Flames flags on their cars.  We still love our Flames!

I've still got my Flames flag flying...those guys showed real class after that loss - broke my heart to see them so visibly upset during the post game interviews. But what a great year for the team and for the city - if the thousand fans at the airport @ 4 am to welcome the team home is any indication, tomorrow's rally will be such an awesome time to congratulate the team, and thank them for such an amazing season.

The rally was INSANE!  I missed it because of work but I saw the highlights on CFCN this evening and I think there must have been upwards of 100,000 fans or something crammed into Olympic Plaza.

By the way, I was wondering if this was the Evangeline from the boards...

Evangeline Ross, 17, said she and her 14-year-old sister, Jacqueline, never lost faith even in the final seconds of Game 7 and urged the Flames to be proud of their accomplishment.

"I want to say we understand why you're disappointed," she said. "You have nothing to be disappointed about. We really needed this, and you came through for us."

That would be cool if it was

w00t! That was me! I know I'm days late, but whatever. My mom, sister, and I were the first ones at the rally at 6:30 am, and when the reporter people found out they were all over us asking us questions.
