but im not sure why it still is.... I think to be fair to their label they will post only on their label site.. just an educated guess :)

If I invited the guys to come and perform at my skool while they are in vic (shauns old skool) do you think sparrow records would try to control that too?

okay... i looked into having starfield come play a concert at my church a couple months ago (sorry, it never got finaled/never happend for many reasons... one being cost) to come up tp BC either before or after their concert down in WA. and you pay for their travel costs (which means either a flight up for all the guys and whoever else they want to bring, or the gas cost and cost for places they stay at on the way up), pay for a place for them and they people who come with them to stay, pay for lighting and sound if you need to rent it, have to have people to be there early in the morning when they come to the location to have a sound check, etc and those people stay all day and late into the evening after the show to pack up all the stuff for the guys, you pay for any food and beverages they need, etc... and for what i was attempting to get together it would have come to a grand total of anywhere between $2000 to $4000 dollars... and thats with it being a concert people would have had to pay for to get in. it probably would have made enough to cover the costs, but i decided not to risk it with being from such a small church. if its something you're really wanting to do... contact the people who starfield now have as their organizers and ask them about it. they may have an official rider by now with more information on it. if you're wanting to do this at a school, maybe see if the school has some money they'd be willing to put forward for it (some schools do have money for this kidn of thing) or see about getting fundraisers going to get money together and maybe see about booking something later on in time... possibly when they come back to canada, that may bring the cost down.

More advertising would have definitely helped, especially at the autograph signing.

If I hadn't been keeping an eye on their website and this message board, I probably wouldn't have known about either events. A lot of my friends who went with me only found out through me.

about the cd release party.. they did have advertising at CHVN and at inspirations obviously.. we had the posters and flyers on may 22. winnipegers are known to be last minute.. and although you can have all your i's dotted and t's crossed.. that still doesn't mean that people will come. we did lots of advertising on chvn etc for YC Fusion.. but still it wasn't like there was a visible amount of extra people because of that. (I'm not saying that chvn is bad, or advertising there is bad.. they are very nice and always have good prices).

about the concert in the school: try to keep an eye out for them in your area.. if they are touring in that area or what not.. because then of course the cost would be lower since they would already be there. however when we got longday (fka lustre) in for yc.. they only played 1 set which was a combo of worship and their own songs.. im guessing under and hour.. and yes we obviously did have to cover hotel rooms, and air fare and what not.. that's the business :) and that's how they make money (and not lose it).. if for some reason they would pay for their own airfare/hotel etc. but yes if they are in the area.. I know they are booking for dates in Nov/Dec.

PS about their riders.. yes they do have them up at their booking agency. most chrisitan ones do (then again i haven't looked for secular ones).. that's where I've seen TFK's etc etc. Actually Starfield has had a rider for a very long time.. I'd say at least 2-3 years.
