I'm blessed and got to celebrate both occasions.....Canada day and INdependence day......I am a dual citizen (shh....the consolate frowns upon that word) ..I was born in California but have lived in Canada most of my life.....I think both places and clebrations are equally and uniquely great.......I think that it would be a great benefit for every canadian to experience at least one Independence Day and every American to experience a Canada Day celebration......just to show that we are infact not all that different...... I have a friend who has dual citizenship too! and yesterday, we even saw some of the fireworks from the States at home...not on TV either! it was cool! we live really close to the border (like 15 miles...ok that's not that close....)but we still saw them....that was really cool!
